Fish Tank Photos

I am trying my hand at a planted tank. One of the things I did recently was move this 55 gallon fishtank down from the loft in my home down into the basement. It was a giant pain. This was a complete takedown, clean and scrub of everything. Then I set it ALL back up.

I got rid of the biggest fish, a red devil, through an eBay auction.

Aquarium Size: 55 US Gallons

Temperature of Water: 80 degrees

pH of the Water: 7.2

Substrate: medium gravel, augmented with silica sand and laterite for the plants

Heater: 200W submersible

Lighting: 40W single tube and a 150W Halide, both on 8 hour timers

Location of Tank: Near my pool table in the basement rec room, interior wall

Type of Aquarium: New setup as a community tank. Used to be a home for central and SA Cichlids

Filtration System: Magnum 350 canister

Decorations: Live plants, rock and driftwood

Live Plants: Swords, hornwort, Dwarf Sagittaria, etc...

Fish: Tiger Barbs, Gold Barbs, Serpaes, Corys, Clown Loaches two big fancy plecostemous and an armored catfish.
